New Texture with Ultrasuede®
Based on Toray Ultrasuede®, we have developed "Unbrick", a fabric for furniture with a digital quilting pattern, and "Mélange", a fabric for furniture with a pattern design by dyeing and printing.
Unbrick takes advantage of Ultrasuede®'s fluffy feel, and digitally quilts the back of the fabric with urethane foam to create a thick, comfortable fabric. The quilting pattern is designed so that it does not feel strange no matter which direction the fabric is stretched, and unlike conventional quilting, the pattern is not connected to one, so the unevenness due to urethane co-sewn is not divided and it is a comfortable three-dimensional Created a feeling.
Mélange takes advantage of the color unevenness caused by the fluffing peculiar to Ultrasuede®, and adds depth to the expression by applying two-layer dyeing printing.
東レ Ultrasuede®をベースにデジタルキルティングパターンを施した家具向けファブリック「Unbrick」と、染色印刷によるパターンデザインを施した家具向けファブリック「Mélange」を開発した。
UnbrickはUltrasuede®の毛羽立ちのよい肌触りを生かし、さらに生地の裏面にウレタンフォームを入れたものにデジタルキルティングを施すことで、厚みのある座り心地の良いファブリックができた。キルティングパターンはどの方向に生地を張っても違和感のないようにデザインされており、従来のキルティングとは違い、パターンが一本に繋がっていないのでウレタン共縫いよる凹凸が分断されることなく心地よい立体感を作り上げた。
MélangeはUltrasuede®特有の毛羽立ちによる色ムラを活かしつつ、2層の染色印刷を施すことでさらに表情に奥行きを出した。
