1518 DD shelf / LAY sofa
1518 is a furniture community made up of small and medium-sized manufacturers with the slogan Made by community. We were involved in branding and did all the product direction / design for the 1st collection. By not only carefully unraveling the characteristics of participating manufacturers, but also multiplying them with the needs of users, we have developed a series that is easy to match with the interior space while taking advantage of the characteristics.
DD shelf is a double-door closed shelf made by collecting the best of sheet metal technology of Alps Steel Co., Ltd. Even if you use it as a partition, you can take things inside from both sides, and by making the top plate wooden, you can also use it as a display shelf, and since the handle is also wooden, it feels good and comfortable. In addition, we have created new usage scenes by creating textures and colors that are easy to use in modern living spaces, offices, and public spaces.
LAY sofa is a sofa with flexibility that can be used like a daybed. With only half the backrest and armrests, users can use the sofa in various ways, such as stretching their legs and lying down, in addition to the conventional usage. Taking advantage of Fujiright, a sofa manufacturer that specializes in build-to-order manufacturing, it is possible to order width sizes from 10 cm units.
1518はMade by communityをスローガンとした中小メーカーが集まって構成された家具コミュニティです。弊社はその中でブランディングから関わり1st collectionのプロダクトディレクション / デザインをすべて行いました。参加メーカーの特性を丁寧に紐解くだけでなく、それをユーザーのニーズと掛け合わせることで、特性を活かしつつインテリア空間にマッチしやすいシリーズを展開した。
DD shelfは株式会社アルプススチールの板金技術の粋を集め作られた両開きのクローズドシェルフである。間仕切りとして使っても両側から中の物を取ることができ、天板は木にすることで飾り棚としても使え、取手も木なので手触りが良く心地よい。加えて現代の生活空間やオフィス、公共空間でも使いやすい質感と色味にすることで、新たな使用シーンを生み出した。
LAY sofaはソファでありデイベットのようにも使えるフレキシビリティを特徴としたソファである。半分だけ背もたれと肘掛けがあることで、従来の使い方だけでなく足を伸ばして横になったり等、ユーザーに生活シーンで中心となるソファの様々な使い方を可能にした。受注生産が得意なソファメーカーであるフジライトの強みを活かし10cm単位からの幅サイズオーダーも可能である。
