Paper Knife

A paper-knife that enjoys ageing. Not only is the sharpness of the technology cultivated with Hasegawa cutlery, but also the texture that the rust, which is the characteristic of the iron material, gives nuance to the inorganic iron and the expression changes. By making the blade by mechanical forging, which is often used for automobile engine parts, it achieves a grip feeling and a high-quality feel with a thickness that cannot be expressed by the conventional metal plate punching method. The process of forging a strong blade made of forged steel and sharpening it with a sharp edge is a manufacturing process that has succeeded in the culture of Japanese sword making in Seki City, Gifu Prefecture.
